I made this pinup moji based on some figure drawing at Dr. Sketchys Baltimore. This outfit was from the quick poses but was so sassy I wanted to make it a moji.
There is a new Sheriff in town. And he’s a drunk.
Saw this great video for the Department of Eagles song “No One Does It Like You” I did this quick drawing of one of the dancer soldiers.
I really like the costumes that Marcel Dzama created. The whole think has a live action Spirited Away type feel but set in a weird Goya like setting.
Here is my take on poise. I think i got a little off topic, but I was VERY influenced by a particular style of Ian Kim and I became more interested in the style rather than the topic (shrug).
Wanted to play around with a very graphic style mixed with an element that was more rendered.
These brown ninjas are hacking up the plus sign to reveal its meaty insides.
This is from a sassy Brigitte Bardot photo.
FYI. Graphite becomes very soluble on absorbent papers.
Playing around with the copics markers i just got.
I think i’ll like them once i get used to the way they apply color.
Tonight I went to the Baltimore Dr. Sketchy for the first time. Its been soo long since I drew from a model like this.
I had a great time. The model was really funny and the guy next to me (Diego) was doing some great ink drawings.
I think I prefer the 5-10 minute poses. I think I still have some freshness and a bit of urgency. On the longer poses i think i get a little stale and over shade things blah.
